MEET JOSE SOLANO, PADEL COACH IN MALAGA

José Solano Sr. started coaching Padel in Malaga in Spain when his son, also named José, told him he wanted to become the Padel world champion. It all started from there, and he set up an entire pedagogical system to support the youth of Andalusia in playing Padel at a much higher level. At that time, Padel had arrived in Andalusia but was mainly played by an older audience. José was among the first to introduce younger generations to Padel through courses and camps in the Malaga region. The idea was simple: to make it to the prestigious Premier padel at a time when Padel was still dominated by Argentinians who had grown up with a Padel racket in their hands. In Spain, tennis was still predominant. It required driving young players to play 3 to 4 hours every day to develop their game culture and compete with the best young players from elsewhere.

Padel is a distinct sport within tennis. José will always tell you that you must be fully dedicated to Padel if you want to succeed at the highest level—both technically and, more importantly, tactically! And physically at a very high level! Physical training even represents about 65% of the work required for a player aiming to turn pro.

José SOLANO has thus trained a generation that is now seen on the WPT: names that are well-known to Padel enthusiasts. Javier Garrido, Momo Gonzalez, Béa Gonzalez… And his son, José, eventually became a junior world champion with this generation. They are Padel prodigies, born with a Padel racket in hand… And it shows on the professional circuit.

José’s academy for playing Padel in Malaga is particularly renowned among minors who choose it not just to play Padel but to become champions. So, if you also want the keys to progress, choose an experienced ToPadel coach who has nurtured genuine talents in the world of Padel.

IMPORTANT PRINCIPLES OF PADEL ACCORDING TO JOSÉ SOLANO

According to José Solano, while some talent and technical skills are obviously necessary to implement all the tactical knowledge essential for a Padel player, what is crucial and makes the difference, in his opinion, is the desire to train, compete, and prepare physically if one wants to reach a certain level of play. Padel can be a sport accessible even to a senior audience that can quickly find enjoyment in it. However, it’s also a sport where technique must be combined with physical fitness, mental strength, and tactics !

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF WORKING WITH THE PADEL COACHES AT THE JOSÉ SOLANO ACADEMY ?
