INTRODUCING ALE GÓMEZ, YOUR PADEL COACH IN THE HEART OF THE BEAUTIFUL CITY OF SEVILLE
I started playing padel at the age of 8 after a brief stint in tennis. Quickly, I began competing, representing Spain and Andalusia from the age of 10. Until the age of 18, I was on the Spanish youth circuit. In 2016, I obtained the Regional Padel Instructor Certificate from the Andalusian Federation.
Since then, I have been working as an instructor at the “La Red 21” school, one of the largest padel schools in Andalusia. For the past 3 years, I have lived and worked in the Netherlands as a manager and coach at the HELLO PADEL ACADEMY. After this overseas experience, I have returned to Seville to focus more on my career as a padel coach for individuals who come from abroad for courses and camps. I am also currently a coach for Topadel.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO PLAY PADEL WELL ACCORDING TO COACH ALE GOMEZ
What you need to know to play padel well according to Coach Ale Gomez: I believe in one word, WORK. Be consistent in all aspects of life and especially in padel. Always strive to improve, with a good attitude and humility.
One of the things to consider in padel is consistency when playing each point. Padel requires two key elements: having patience in constructing points and knowing when it’s time to attack and how to do it.
HOW ALE GOMEZ, COACH IN SEVILLE, STRUCTURES HIS PADEL COURSES FOR STUDENTS TO IMPROVE
I always adapt to the level of each student. However, my priority will be to try to understand how to play padel tactically and develop the student’s understanding of the game because padel is primarily a tactical sport.
I really like all exercises related to ball control and direction. Of course, I create real-game situations to apply all the techniques and tactics worked on previously.
STRENGTHS TO WORK ON WITH ALE GOMEZ, YOUR PADEL COACH IN SEVILLE
Combining experience and playing at the highest level, I am capable of coaching players of all levels for courses packages or camps in Seville. I have also undergone training in coaching young players, mental preparation, and women’s padel.
Lastly, from childhood to the present day, I have always taken courses to improve while competing. These two elements have given me a wealth of knowledge.
Furthermore, I spent over 2 years in a high-performance padel school where all aspects, from technique to physical and mental aspects, were worked on extensively. I had the opportunity to develop alongside the best !
ADVICE FROM ALE GOMEZ, PADEL COACH, FOR BEGINNER AND EXPERIENCED PLAYERS
If you have just started playing padel, I recommend playing as much as you can, but always in conjunction with courses, which will guide your progress more quickly.
If you already have enough experience in this sport, my advice is not to stop training; it will always help you consolidate your game. It will also be important for you to get into the rhythm of playing several tournaments per month so that you can feel the adrenaline of competition and the management of stakes.
WHAT AGE / LEVEL DOES ONE NEED TO BE TO WORK WITH PADEL COACH ALE GOMEZ ?
All levels are welcome in Seville from the age of 5 and onwards, for as long as the player desires. In the Netherlands, I taught padel to people as old as 80! So age is never a problem for learning.
A good session is one that combines technical and tactical aspects. Improvement and direction of shots are then used to enable the player to know how to use them in real game situations.
