Testimony of Aurélien R. and His Group of Friends About Their Padel Training in Alicante
“Having the role of organizing a padel training camp in Spain for my friend Florian’s 40th birthday, I stumbled upon ToPadel by chance on the internet. After sending a message through the contact form, Thibault quickly got in touch with me to work things out. Attentive to our needs and adaptable, Thibault’s support and that of ‘ToPadel,’ both in terms of organization and adapting the training to our level, was ideal. Several options were presented to us, and considering each person’s skill level, we gradually outlined the details of the training. I had some apprehension initially, not being accustomed to this type of camp and having to settle all expenses upfront, but I have no regrets today! Unfortunately, due to an injury, it was my 4 friends who benefited from this training and the expertise of the two coaches, Elio and Belen.
Very skilled and pedagogical, they observed them during the first 2-hour session, and then personalized and adapted the content of the sessions to their needs. The camp took place over 2 days, with 2 hours in the morning focusing on technical aspects and 2 hours in the afternoon on more tactical elements, with a break between the two days on Sunday, during which we booked a court for free play. Their numerous tips, the exercises performed, allowed my friends to understand the behaviors and positions to adopt on the court.
Outside the courts, as a reminder before going to sleep, Elio would send us the ‘Tips’ summarizing the content of the day’s sessions, the advice to keep for the future. We had a particularly friendly relationship with our two padel coaches throughout the camp.
If we adapted to their slight delays, compensated by an extension of the sessions to ensure the full 2 hours, or even more, they also knew how to adapt when an accident between Benidorm and Alicante made us arrive 45 minutes late to the center. Humanly and sportingly, this relationship allowed us to discover the Argentine and Spanish Padel culture and measure the differences with the practice of this sport in France.
Lastly, a word about the ‘Red Padel’ center in Alicante, selected by ToPadel. A friendly welcome, clean and accessible showers and facilities, about ten courts in very good condition, under the sun, with catering that allows you to spend the entire day there. Beyond being a padel center and club, it is a sports complex with various sports fields, a pool, and fitness classes; the place exudes a sporting atmosphere but is also family-friendly. It is truly a real community!
Thanks to Thibault and ToPadel for organizing this birthday training camp in Spain that will remain in our memories!”
